The Affordable Care Act’s goal to promote reforms to the "overpriced, underperforming" U.S. healthcare system is often overlooked in the healthcare debate sweeping the country right now, argues New York Times op-ed columnist Bill Keller.

The law is spurring innovation and efficiency, he writes, citing the proliferation of accountable care organizations, which he describes as the “Silicon Valley of preventative care, laboratories of invention driven by the entrepreneurial energy of start-ups.”
