Avizia, Regroup partner expand telehealth-related behavioral services

Telehealth provider Avizia and Regroup, an integrated telepsychiatry company, have partnered to expand the quality and reach of virtual behavioral healthcare services.

For patients living in remote or underserved areas, access to mental healthcare may be difficult to access. To meet the needs of these patients, Avizia and Regroup hope to deliver a comprehensive virtual mental health platform to conduct secure telepsychiatry consultations.

“Like Avizia, Regroup was founded on the idea that no patient should have to worry about access to high-quality healthcare, regardless of their geographic location, socio-economic status or level of need,” said Mike Baird, founder and chief executive officer of Avizia. “Regroup is disrupting the image of mental healthcare as an exclusive service limited to therapists’ couches or hospital rooms. By helping organizations launch or enhance their behavioral health programs, Regroup is improving the lives of patients immeasurably.”

The partnership plans on building upon Avizia’s platform, which ranges from a single telehealth platform to a system-wide virtual care delivery initiative, with Regroups’ ability to imbed mental health professionals within a care team. Avizia’s platform is also interoperable with any electronic health record.

“Our mission is to innovate in the delivery of mental health services to reach entities and patients in need. This partnership with Avizia accelerates our ability to deliver on that mission,” said David Cohn, Regroup CEO. “Avizia’s platform infrastructure and state-of-the-art features enable telepsychiatry consultations that are seamless, secure and easily integrate with healthcare providers’ EHRs.”
