Employees fired for looking at NFL player's records

Two Miami hospital employees have been fired for inappropriately accessing the medical records of an NFL player.

Jason Pierre-Paul's records were published by ESPN's Adam Schefter while the Giants defensive end was in surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital having his finger amputated.

"Protecting the privacy of our patients is a top priority at Jackson Health System," the hospital said in a statement. "Any time we have allegations of a breach, we immediately and thoroughly investigate."
