ACR DSI shares list of FDA-cleared AI algorithms for medical imaging

The American College of Radiology (ACR) Data Science Institute (DSI) has created a new resource for radiology researchers: a full list of FDA-cleared AI algorithms related to medical imaging.

The list includes a wide range of AI models and was designed to save researchers valuable time. The list includes a summary of each algorithm’s manufacturer, intended purpose, FDA product area and more.

“Models range from detecting pneumothorax in chest X-rays to highlighting segments of the brain on MRI,” according to a statement from the ACR. “Several models may increase efficiency by detecting positive findings on images and notifying the radiologist of the suspected findings for further action.”

The full list, published on the ACR DSI website, will be updated regularly.
