VR headsets bring NFL experience to patients

Patients at UCHealth locations throughout Colorado now have the opportunity to experience NFL games up close and personal—all without missing a single treatment.

According to a report from 9News in Denver, the health system is supplying virtual reality (VR) headsets to patients so they can have a much better view than typically provided by a hospital TV set. One patient featured in the video is a lifetime Denver Broncos fan, but intense cancer treatments have left him unable to watch his favorite team in person. Now, however, he can watch the action with a 360-degree view.

Patients get to interact with the VR presentation, selecting the view they want, using a smart tablet. The Broncos even partnered with UCHealth, providing content specifically filmed with VR headsets in mind.
