Vendor interface fees fighting MU progress

EHR vendors are charging providers exorbitant prices to interface systems to allow for data sharing, thwarting the goals of the Meaningful Use program. The additional costs were not foreseen during the bipartisan congressional push to create the federal incentive program and the expense is now imperiling the broad efforts to reform healthcare.
