After announcing plans last October to launch a digital health accelerator, Cedars-Sinai and its partner Techstars have announced the 11 companies that will join its first accelerator class.

This is the first year that Techstars has partnered with Cedars-Sinai, and there are more than 100 mentors available to companies developing hardware or software to patients to manage and improve their health or help healthcare professionals improve care delivery.

The three-month accelerator will offer participants $120,000 in funding as well as three months of mentorship and guidance from senior leadership at Cedars-Sinai and the Techstars network.

Here are the 11 startups participating in the Cedars-Sinai, Techstars digital health accelerator:

• AppliedVR is developing a virtual reality platform that aims to enhance patient experience around pain and anxiety management. 
• HomeHero offers an online service that helps families find, hire and manage home care providers for seniors.
• Stasis Labs has developed a mobile-enabled continuous health monitoring device that allows doctors, members of the care team, and family to identify clinical changes and intervene before a critical event. 
• Ella is a mindfulness-based mobile platform that reduces healthcare costs by helping patients manage their chronic pain.  
• Grace is a technology-driven concierge service for families planning funerals.
• Deep 6 Analytics analyzes unstructured data to build artificial intelligence applications for healthcare.
• Silversheet is a medical credential management service that aims to empower healthcare facilities and medical staff to work together. 
• Inscope Medical is developing a disposable low-cost video laryngoscope that provides a clear view of every airway. 
• WELL Health offers a secure patient to provider communication platform that helps physicians and their offices connect with patients between visits.
• ZendyHealth is a digital health marketplace where patients can bid and name their own price on standardized health and dental services. 
• Yosko is a care coordination platform for hospitals that improves team collaboration, transitions of care and efficiency in procedural areas. The Yosko team previously was a part of Healthbox, MassChallenge and the Sprint-TechStars accelerator.

“All of the companies participating in the accelerator are pushing the envelope to transform the healthcare delivery system,” Cedars-Sinai CIO Darren Dworkin said in a statement.
